I would say 4.3.0 - 4.8.0 are the most stable which quite frankly, you don't always need the latest version unless if you want to add some of the experimental shaders that are coming out.
You can always update it by installing it on a different game and still using the same files as inside the folder to replace it, but 4.9.0 has been getting some problems with older reshade settings since the creator is always changing things.
But if you want to use mine which is based of version 4.8.0 you can have this.
